Witness the Meteor Shower this August 2009

(image from Brian Emfinger,Ozark, Arkansas)

Do you know that this August 11-13, numerous meteors will be more visible up the sky from 3 o'clock in the morning onwards. The meteor shower will be located due North, with the radiant just above the northern horizon. The meteor showers occur because the Earth goes through the stream of debris form the comet Swift-Tuttle. This "dusty debris" burns up as it streaks through the sky creating fascinating meteor.

I have to stay late up to 3-4am just to witness this rare event.
